Northwest Flight School is a PSI (formerly known as LaserGrade) Testing Center, able to offer any FAA Written Knowledge Test including the UAS written exam. The 2 hour UAS exam is $150, there are 60 questions and applicants are required to get a 70% to pass. The minimum age for the exam is 14 years old. If the applicant fails the exam they must wait 14 days before retesting. All materials required for the exam (calculators, E6B, Testing Supplements) will be provided by the testing center.


We strongly suggest that you read the information at the bottom carefully to ensure that you have the proper identification. It is your responsibility, to provide the correct documentation and information to take an FAA Airman Knowledge Test.


Because of the high number of exams anticipated for the UAS written exam it is suggested that applicants call PSI directly at (844) 704-1487 to schedule your exam. Applicants who walk in without a PSI reservation will be taken on a first come first serve basis.

  • Valid
  • Current


Identification must include the applicant's:

  • Photo
  • Date of birth
  • Signature
  • Physical Residential Address

  • Drivers license issued by a US state or territory
  • US Government identification card
  • US Military identification card
  • Passport or Alien resident card
